Konnie May is a highly motivated artist with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.  She started her education at El Camino College in Southern California where she focused on Architecture and Fine Art. She transferred to Seattle WA, where she studied Costuming for the Theater, and finished up her education at Southern Oregon State College in 1987 in Theatrical Design. 

She has diversified her painting skills over the years into direct application Textile Design, Acrylic Fine Art Painting, Interior Design Faux Finishes, Sign Design and creation. In 2007 she started Jefferson Scenic, a full service scenic painting company based in Ashland Oregon and servicing the needs of Theatrical Designers across the country.

She has successfully started and profitably managed Jefferson Scenic, "Atomica" (Retail Clothing Store), and "Art Now" (a non-profit community arts group).

She continues to paint scenery, faux finish interriors and fine art.
